Living Room
Hello, Welcome to my home!
I live in a very small (less than 800 sq.ft.) 1960's ranch. We affectionately call it the "brick box". Oh, how I envy those of you who live in old homes with character.

This is our living room. We recently painted the walls a fresh green color called "Sea Drops".

I've accented with ocean blue in the drapes and touches of pink and yellow in the vintage fabric pillows. I have a seemingly endless supply of pretty pillows, so its easy to change them out with the seasons or just for a change of pace.

Dining Room

Our small dining room boasts a cool fresh green on the walls and minimal accessories.

An old side-light window fills in a corner to visually balance the small cabinet on the other side of the room. A vintage yoyo quilt in pretty pastels brings a touch of spring into the room.

Powder Room

Powder Room
Ok?its really our main bathroom, but powder room sounds prettier.
Vintage drapes are lined with a water resistant fabric and used as a shower curtain.

Bedroom

The feature attraction in the bedroom is the fireplace mantel headboard. It helps to add some architectural interest to the room.

The padded insert is covered in vintage fabric and easily changed out when I want a different look.

On the other side of the room sits the tiger maple deacon's bench, that was once used in the dining room, and slag glass bridge lamp, both treasures from my grandma's attic.

Kitchen
Well, remodeling in the kitchen was slow going. Who knew it would take soooo long to finish such a tiny room!

We used a light color granite for the counter called Colonial Gold and the cabinets are from Home Depot in a finish called Dove White.

Patio

This is really why we bought this house! The yard is big.

We spent our first anniversary building the trellis that is now covered in wisteria. Over the next several years the bricks were laid for the patio, plantings were added, and the pond was installed.

My favorite spot for morning coffee.

More Yard and Patio

This past summer I used a lot of impatiens and begonias in the containers. Bright colors show up so well against all the greenery.

Our little garden shed is covered in pink roses. It's a hearty disease resistant variety called New Dawn that seems to thrive on my neglect.
